What is the Mindful Minds program?

Mindful Minds is a new group program that provides youth aged 10 to 14 with tools and resources for self-care, managing their emotional well-being and building resiliency.

Program participation is free!

Weekly Topics

Week #1: Introduction

  • Introducing the participants to the program
  • Getting to know each other and what to expect for the next 7 weeks

Week #2: Positive Self-Talk

  • Let’s talk about positive emotions
  • Boosting our confidence together

Week #3: Confidence

  • Changing our environments
  • Identifying the happy things in our lives and around us

Week #4: Setting Goals

  • Making big versus little goals together
  • Setting our own goals

Week #5: Empowerment

  • Let’s talk about positive self-esteem
  • Building confidence in others and us

Week #6: Self-care

  • The importance of self-care for each of us
  • Practicing our own self-care

Week #7: Towards a New Me

  • Changing our perspective
  • Loving ourselves

  • Reflecting on the last 8 weeks together

Facilitator of the Program

Our service delivery staff, Amanda, will be running the Mindful Minds group program. Amanda is a Registered Social Worker who, with the support of staff and post-secondary practicum students, developed the Mindful Minds group program.
